Adler is a railway station of the Tuapse region of the North Caucasus Railway, located in the Krasnodar Territory, the city of Sochi, Adler district.
This is one of the largest passenger terminals of Russian Railways. The capacity in normal mode is 5 thousand people per hour, and during the Olympic Games the terminal hosted up to 20 thousand guests per hour.

Station history
The project of the coastal Black Sea railway began to be created in the Russian Empire at the end of the nineteenth century.
During the First World War, the construction of a part of the railway from Adler to Tuapse finally began. And in 1927, the first train arrived in Adler from Tuapse. The Adler railway station itself was completed in 1929. In 1941, part of the railway from Adler to Gagra station was completed, and in 1944 the section to Novosenaki was completed.
In November 2010, the construction of a modern railway station complex, located east of the old one, was started, which was completed in October 2013. To create it, a joint project of the NGO "Mostovik" architectural group and the GMP Berlin architectural bureau was used. The construction was timed to coincide with the opening of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
